Prof. Niklas Hedin, Stockholm University

      Prof. Hedin is full-professor in materials chemistry, Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry, Stockholm University. His major research focus is currently on adsorbents for separation or reduction of carbon dioxide, and carbon materials derived by hydrothermal carbonization. A multipronged approach is applied that includes among other tools molecular spectroscopy. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, and has rich experience of supervising PhD students and postdocs. Some ongoing projects are funded by VR (Swedish Research Council), Mistra, EU Skłodowska-Curie grant, and Stiftelsen Olle Engkvist Byggmästare. Prof. Hedin has conducted industrial postdoctoral research with Sebastian Reyes at ExxonMobil Corporate Research Laboratory, Annandale, New Jersey, USA with some granted patents, and he continued working with industrial partners in the following years.
